Jerusalem Real Estate – Rehavia neighborhood

Looking for a centrally located community in Jerusalem? Today’s spotlight neighborhood – Rehavia.

Shalom!

This is Levi Feld from FeldTeam – Real Estate.

Like every week, I will present you with information on a different area of Jerusalem. I would like to maximize your options and familiarize you with Jerusalem neighborhoods to find your best fit here in Israel. Know the city like the back of your hand and feel comfortable when you arrive.

Rehavia:

Rehavia is located between the city center, Talbiya, Katamon, and the Valley of the Cross. (Don’t know these other neighborhoods? Don’t worry, I’ll eventually expose you to these areas.)

Among the many neighborhoods built in Jerusalem during the British Mandate, Rehavia stands out as a classic garden suburb neighborhood.

Because of its proximity and walking distance to both downtown and other places of interest, Rehavia has a reputation as being one of the more affluent neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

Rehavia’s population is mixed and open to everyone.

It consists mainly of Israeli residents, a large Anglo community, as well as students, and young couples where there is a high rental demand.

In recent years there has been an increase in younger religious French and English speaking couples that are giving Rechavia a more religious character.

Services in Rechavia – You have everything at your fingertips! Shopping centers, offices, banks, post offices, sports fields, youth movements, public parks and playgrounds.

Public transportation includes great bus service to the various parts of the city, taxis , and soon, even the light rail (under construction).

For the Family: Kindergartens, schools and even yeshivas.

Social services include a community center, seniors’ clubs, sheltered housing, nursing homes, and a myriad of institutions and volunteer organizations.

Health services include: Boutique medical centers, private clinics, dentists and pharmacies.

Religious services: Apart from the two famous synagogues, the Yeshurun Synagogue and the Great Synagogue, there are many smaller synagogues in the neighborhood that serve residents, including some who come specially from outside the community. And of course, there are mikvahs.

Rehavia is an up-scale, sought after neighborhood offering you everything! Properties have a superb re-sale value and thus they are also an excellent investment!
